Bio: Mandy Cregan is the Co-Artistic Director of POV Dance, an architectural dance company based in Portland. She began dancing when she was four and got a B.A. in dance from JMU in Virginia and a Professional Diploma in Dance Studies from The Laban Centre in London. She began her professional dance career in San Francisco, dancing for local legend, Lizz Roman. It was with Roman that she began to develop the architectural and partnering skill-set that is so important to the work that POV Dance creates. Mandy spent several years in San Francisco teaching dance and gymnastics to children before becoming certified in Pilates in 2001. She owns a Pilates and bodywork studio, Body Mechanics, in Southeast Portland, and helps facilitate people's transformation through movement and energy work when she’s not dancing. Mandy is also a single mother of two incredible children, Oskar and Lila.
