NOTE: This class is a fundraiser for FLOCK. All proceeds go toward FLOCK's ongoing fundraiser to "MOVE FLOCK's FLOOR" to their new home come summer. Get your dance on and help FLOCK move while you are moving! (Sliding scale: $12-skies the limit)
In this movement lab we will explore qualities of resiliency and rebound in our bodies. Sensing into the elasticity and adaptability inherent in our structures, and moving with what emerges.
Axis Syllabus is an evolving collection of ideas oriented toward helping individuals glean greater insight into their moving bodies. These ideas are collected through scientific and empirical practices. This is called a lab, as it is a place for experimentation and reflection, both as facilitator and participants. Our tools for practice will include guided movement motifs, as well as improvisation scores.
