This 2-day mini workshop series will explore the concept of the Jungian Shadow on a personal, societal, and performative level.
More about Shadow Tender: HERE
Drawing on a rich array of movement traditions (butoh, contemporary dance, improvisation, physical theater, and martial arts), we guide participants through the process of crafting a mask to facilitate constructive dialogue with the Shadow self. Employing a process of simultaneous discovery and creation, we hope to look beyond the ego’s defenses to cultivate awareness, compassion, and curiosity. Standing on the threshold between light and dark, we ask: Who is the monster, here? How do we create the monstrous? How does it create us? What lies beyond the fear?
We strongly recommend that participants attend both days to get the most out of the material, however the first day is available as a drop-in class if preferred.
Saturdays February 23rd + March 2nd 11-3:30 both days // Sliding scale: $125 - $175 for both days, $65-$75 for one day
