Use movement to tell stories. Drawing from Jacques Lecoq's physical theatre technique: play, movement studies, and mask work, we'll deep dive into physical storytelling over this weekend intensive. The neutral mask distills and illuminates everything you bring into the space, teaching you to be profoundly present and available in every moment of performance. It reveals what an audience actually sees when your body moves. We'll explore how breath, rhythm, posture, and gaze create character and narrative long before any performance choices get layered on. Two days of tuning your instrument and expanding your physical storytelling palette.
This workshop is for you if you are:
a mover who wants to expand their performance palette and grow as a collaborative creator
interested in developing physical storytelling
a creative who wants to learn more about creating character, narrative, and space through the body
physical theatre-curious, mask-curious, or just ready to play with people who take the body seriously as a creative tool.
