Advanced Contemporary Technique Class uses principles of functional athletic movement, floorwork, and improvisation as the primary focus. I am interested in how functional movement pathways and muscle engagement can assist in injury prevention and extend the longevity of a dancing life. Staying true to the integrity of a contemporary dance class, my goal is to educate dancers on what movements may lead to injury and what can be done to reinforce the strength patterns in our body to prevent pain.
